it は「それ」と訳されることが多いが、this や that などの「指す」言葉とは異なる
it は「受ける」言葉
この場合の it も周囲の状況を受けているだけ。日本語の「・寒いです」と、状況を受ける一拍（・）と同じ

be going to のイメージ
be going to ~は go to ~（～に行く）の進行形と同じ語感
