① Who needs a fancy house anyway?
主語を尋ねる wh疑問文
wh疑問文は「空所 ( )・wh語・疑問形」の「3点セット」が標準だが、当てはまらないケースもある。それがこの例文の主語を尋ねるケース
この場合は主語の位置にwh語をポン！と置くだけ。この文でも主語位置にwhoを置くだけで「誰が〜なのですか？」と疑問文となっている
ちなみにこの文は「疑問の意味を持たない疑問文」つまりは「必要ない」と言っている
② City people want to come to this island for their vacations.
これから動詞
want の目的語として to不定詞が使われ「来たがる」となっている。このように、目的語 として動詞句的内容が使われる場合、to不定詞と動詞-ing形が候補となるが、wantが結びつくのは to不定詞のみ。
それは want が「これから」を色濃く感じさせる「これから動詞」 であるため。矢印（→）のイメージを持ち「これから」が感じられる to を用いた to不定詞とベストコンビネーションとなる

「優先」を表す簡便な方法は順序を述べること。
例文では come before~（～よりも前に来る）を使い、快適さの優先順位が高いことを示している
before は「先・前」を表す順序表現

→ come first も順序を表す優先表現。疑問文も作りやすい
② I put family before everything else.
→ put（置く）を使った順序表現
③ The first thing to do is to book your flight.

→ first や最上級、比較級を使っても優先を表すことがでる

彼女に直接話したほうがいいですよ
→ better off ~ 「（～したほうが）もっといい状態になる」

→ would rather ~ は「むしろ〜したい」で、対比のニュアンスを持つ rather が、優先を表している。

→ would take ~ over… は「取る→ 選択」を意味する take を使い、優先を表している
