前置詞の表す位置関係
前置詞は単純な位置関係をイメージとし、それゆえに豊富な連想を呼び、さまざまな使い方が生まれる。
まずは through
この前置詞はトンネル状のモノを「通して」という位置関係。この文の went through は 「通過」を表すが、go through には「（困難などを）経験する・検討する」という比喩的な使い方も生まれる。
