①それでさ、最近こういう似たような番組ばかりでうんざり。もう新しいものなんて何もやってない気がする。

And I’m fed up with all these similar shows lately. It feels like nothing new is on anymore.

**similar show: 似たような番組
**~ be on: ～がやっている

・be fed up with ~ (～にうんざりだ) を上手に使えたらOK (Lesson 89)

・lately は「最近」

・It feels like は「～のように感じる」。like の後ろには節

・is on は「～がやっている」という頻用表現。The TV’s on. (テレビがついている) と同じ、「活動上にある」を示す on

②何を見ても、どれもただ同じに見えるんだよね。

No matter what I watch, everything just seems the same.

・No matter what ~ は譲歩節で「何を〜しようが」

・everything 以下は説明型オーパーラッピング (SVC)「everything = the same (に見える)」

・just は「ただ〜だけ」という、うんざりした感触をプラスしている

2⃣ 友人が、あなたが使っているラップトップの新型が発売になるようだと言います。応答してください。

Friend: I heard they’re releasing a new version of your laptop.

You:
①正直どうでもいいよ。これは自分には十分速いし、これで満足してる。

I couldn’t care less, honestly. This one is fast enough for me, and I’m happy with it.

・最初の I couldn’t care less が出てきたらOK (Lesson 86)

・honestly は「正直言って」、「どうでもいいよ」が少しきつく響くので、和らげるために加えられている

・be happy with ~ は「～に満足している」

②今のところ買い替える理由はないね。

I don’t see any reason to upgrade right now.

**upgrade: よりよいものにする (この場合「新しくする・買い替える」)

・any reason を「to不定詞」以下が説明する「説明ルール: 説明は後ろに置く」の形

O: Yeah, when I was younger, I craved faster and faster computers, but not anymore.

D: Oh, I was the same way. I was always chasing the newest, fastest technology. But now, I wanna see how long I can make it last.

R: It’s really great to be happy with what you already have.

D: Oh yeah, That’s true.
