① I don’t want to be an engineer.
これから動詞
動詞 want の後ろに to 不定詞が使われている。
動詞の目的語として動詞句的な内容が使われる際、to不定詞と動詞-ing形が選択肢となるが、動詞によってはどちらか一方しか使えない。
want は to不定詞しか使えない。それは、want が「これから動詞」 – 「これから」を意味に色濃く含む動詞であるため。want は「（これから）〜したい」なので、矢印（→）のイメージを持ち「これから」が感じられる to不定詞とベストコンビネーションを作る。
② That’s not the only kind of job for someone like you.
-thing/-one/-body で終わる名詞
名詞の後に説明が付加される形が頻繁に使われる。なぜなら、こうした名詞の意味が非常に漠然としているため。
例えば someone は「誰か」だが、それだけでは鮮明な意味を持たない。そこで「どんな誰かなのか」についての説明が加えられる。
この文では someone like you（誰か、あなたのようなね）となっている。もちろん「説明ルール：説明は後ろに置く」に沿った形。

box を動詞として用い、

という言い方もあり。

→ think about は「周り」をイメージする about があるため、さまざまな角度から「よく考える」というニュアンスになる
