目的語説明型（SVOC）
to不定詞を用いた目的語説明型（SVOC）の文。目的語説明型は、目的語と説明語句との間に「=（イコール）」あるいは「主語・述語」の関係がある形
to不定詞が用いられると、to には矢印（→）のニュアンスが感じられるため「目的語が to 以下の行動に進んでいく」ことを意味する
この文の want me to come back は「私が come back することを want（欲する）している」ということ
That sounds so British.
説明型オーバーラッピング（SVC）
基本は「That = so British」、sound（聞こえる）の意味が文全体にオーバーラップして「That = so British [に聞こえる]」
☆Target Forms
My grandmother gave it to me when I was in England.
授与型（SVOO）より大きく頻度は落ちるが「動詞 + 目的語（…を）+ to/for + 目的語 （～に）」で授与の意味を表すこともある
この型は、受け手に前置詞が使われ目立つ文末に置かれる分、授与型よりも受け手が強調される傾向がある
give
tell
send
など「到達点」が意識される動詞では方向を表す to
make
find
buy
など「受け手の利益」が強く意識される動詞では for（ために）
が使われる
Practice
前置詞による受け手への強調を意識しながら読んでいきます。give は到達 点が意識されるため “to me” と、to を用います。

※ That would be lovely. の would は「～でしょう」という控え目な表現です。仮定法な意味合いを含んでおり「それが実現したら素晴らしいでしょう」ということですね！
