☆Grammar and Vocabulary

You’re not supposed to use Al programs for school reports.

be supposed to ~

What should I do, then?

☆Target Forms

You’ll have to rewrite it.

「~しなくてはなりません(ならないでしょう)」は、(✖)You will must ~ ではなくこの文のように(〇)You will have to ~ となる。

You will have to ~ 「~しなくてはなりません(ならないでしょう)」は will の 「予測」が入っている分やわらかく響く。

Practice

You’ll have to
↓
You’ll have to rewrite it.

① You may have to do it.

You may have to put off the meeting.

**put off:

You may have to apologize to her.

② I will be able to finish this report by tomorrow.

→ will be able to

③ They should be able to make it in time.
They ought to be able to make it in time.

→ should [ought to] be able to は「~できるはず」
