※You look quiet に注目です。普通の言い方なら You seem quiet (～に見える、～に思える) ですが、この文は「セオの様子」も含んだ表現であるため look (見る) が使われています！
**argument: 議論、口論
**shouldn’t have (+過去分詞): (～) すべきではなかった ※後悔を表す形※
I had an argument with a friend today. We both said things we shouldn’t have.
今日、友達と口論になったんだ。お互い、言わなくていいことまで言ってしまって。
**Arguments happen.: 口論は起こるものです。
**stay calm: 冷静でいる
**no matter ~: たとえ〜であろうと

説明型オーバーラッピング (SVC)
You look quiet tonight.
今夜、あなたは静かに見えます。
さまざまな文の形を自在に運用できるかは、その形をどう「見るか」にかかっている
この文は「説明型 (SVC)」つまりbe動詞文と同じように見ることが必要
基本は「You = quiet」ということ
ただ、意味の薄いbe動詞ではなく実質的な意味を持つ look (見る) が使われているため、その意味が文全体にオーバーラップする
You = quiet (に見える)
という感じ
it ~ to …
It‘s crucial to slow down and think before reacting.
反応する前にゆっくりして考えることが重要です。
it は「受ける」単語 – この文は心に浮かんだ情景をまず it で受け「重要ですよ」と述べている
ただ、それでは何が重要かわからないため、to以下を加え it の説明を行っている
it をまず使い、そのあと内容を追いかける形は使用頻度が高いため、作り方を体のリズムとして取り込む必要がある

大切なのは解決策を探すことで、勝者を探すことではありません。
「～することが重要だ」と述べることも、よくあるアドバイスの手法
important だけではなく、ダイアログにあった crucial、あるいは essential (本質的な→重要な) もよく使われる
比較的強いアドバイス表現には次のものも。
①強くすすめる
I strongly recommend that you speak with your manager before making a decision.
決断する前に、上司と話すことを強くすすめます。
「強くおすすめします」というフレーズ
recommend に続く節中の動詞は原形 (変化しない辞書どおりの形) すすめていることはまだ実現していない内容であるため、事実を表す現在形は不自然だから
②これしかない
There’s no choice but to follow the rules.
規則に従うしかありません。
選択肢を絞り、行為に導くフレーズ
no に「まったく〜ない」という強さが宿っている
but ~ は「～を除いて」という使い方
③私があなたなら絶対～
If I were you, I’d absolutely double-check the numbers before sending the email.
もし私があなたの立場なら、メールを送る前にその数字を必ず再確認しますよ。
If I were you「私があなたなら」
仮定法であるため were が使われている
そして、I would absolutely ~
で、「絶対〜するだろうね」と結んでいる
If I were you, ~ は優しいアドバイスだが、absolutely (絶対に・100%) により、強められている

[携帯電話の修理業者の発言です]
「たいへん申し訳ありませんが、お使いの電話の画面は修理できません。交換するほかありません。画面プロテクターとケースをお使いになること を強くおすすめします」
【解答例】
I’m very sorry, but your phone’s screen cannot be repaired. There’s no choice but to replace it. I strongly recommend that you use a screen protector and a case.
【解説】
・cannot be repaired は助動詞文の受動態 -「修理されることができない」
・There’s no choice but to ~, I strongly recommend that ~ が言えたら合格！
