Today will be my last day in this department.
Three years ago, I could not have imagined that I would be writing a farewell email to my colleagues in English. But here I am, communicating with team members from all around the world. The merger is making our office here in Tokyo more diverse by the day, and if we continue to embrace this change, I’m sure our future will be full of promise.
It has been my privilege to work with you all. Your incredible skills and commitment made it possible for us to survive the difficult period of this pandemic, and I’m truly grateful for that.
I look forward to working with you again one day, and until then, I wish you all the best of luck!

When I first started here, I didn’t think I would learn as much as I have. The things you taught me about Japanese business practices and how to communicate with my Japanese colleagues helped me considerably in getting used to my current environment. For that, I am truly grateful.

3年前には、英語で同僚にお別れのメールを書くことになるとは想像もできませんでした。しかし、私はここで世界各地のチームメンバーとコミュニケーションをとっています。合併によって、ここ東京のオフィスは日に日に多様化しています。引き続きこの変化を受け入れていけば、今までとは違う景色が見えてくるはずです。
→ I could not have imagined that~ で「～を想像しようとしても出来なかった」想定外だったときに使うフレーズ
→ embrace =「（愛情をこめて）抱擁する」
自分の中に「抱き込む」ニュアンスで、新しいものを「受け入れる」という意味。変化を伴う場面でよく使われる。
→ I’m sure our future will be full of promise. は直訳すると「私は私たちの未来はきっと約束されたものになると確信している」
※部下を鼓舞するには前向きなトーンで！

→ incredible「信じられない →（信じられないほど）素晴らしい」
good や great 以外にも褒め言葉のバリエーションを持っておくと便利ですｗ
→ truly「本当に、こころから」を加えて深い感謝の気持ちを表現できる。感謝の気持ちは率直に述べるのが一番良い
