※やるべきことなのに今までできていなかったことをする、というニュアンスです

快適でした。少し睡眠をとることができました。
※ can の過去形として、could ではなく was able to が使われているのは、could には「…できただろうに、…できるだろうに」という意味があり、I could catch up on some sleep. で「少し睡眠をとることができただろうに（できなかった）」というニュアンスにも取れてしまうからです
