**get along: うまくいく、仲良くする
・No way! Seriously? は Lesson 84で出てきたフレー ズ
・mind は「～を気にする」
・me asking の me は asking の意味上の主語、「私が尋ねる」という意味関係
②それを聞いて本当に残念だよ。もし話す人が必要なら、私がここにいるよ。
I’m really sorry to hear that. If you need someone to talk to, I’m here.
・I’m really sorry to hear that. は、相手の状況に心を寄せる定番表現
・someone to talk to では、2つ目の to の後ろの空所 ( )と someone が組み合わされた意味合い「話しかけることのできる誰か → 誰か話す人」
2⃣ 友人が誕生日パーティに招待してくれました。応答しましょう。
Friend: My birthday party’s this weekend – want to come?
今週末、私の誕生日パーティーがあるんだけど、来ない？
You:
①え、本当？もちろん行くよ！誘ってくれてありがとう ― すごく楽しみにしてる。
Oh, really? Yes, of course! Thanks for inviting me – I’m really looking forward to it. I can’t wait.
・ 「待ちきれない」のフレーズ、look forward to や I can’t wait. が口から出せれば、十分合格！ (Lesson 82)
**invite: ～を誘う、～を招待する
②何か持っていこうか、ワインとか、もしくはデザートでもいいかな？
Would you like me to bring something, like a bottle of wine or maybe some dessert?
・Would you like me to ~? は目的語説明型 (SVOC) で「me が bring something に進むことを欲していますか？」
・something に続く like ~ は「～のような」
