☆GRAMMAR AND VOCABULARY
助動詞と助動詞相当語句のコンビネーション
I won’t be able to make it.
私は行けそうもありません。
won’t be able to は、予測のwill (～だろう) の否定形 won’t と be able to (～できる) のコンビネーション
「コンビネーション」とは言っても「組み合わせればいい」とは思わないこと
また、話の最中に意味を考えながら組み合わせることはできない
そして「will be able to を否定するのは簡単だろう」とも思わないこと
won’t be able to は「ひとつの」まとまった語彙として機能しており、まとめて覚えなくてはならない
授与型 (SVOO)
Just give us a call when you’re ready.
準備ができたときに私たちにお電話ください。
この文の give 以降は授与型 (SVOO)
この型は動詞の後ろに目的語を2つ置いた「～に…をあげる・くれる」と授与を表す
give us a call は「私たちに・電話を・くれる」ということ

「氏名」「予約内容」そして「キャンセル理由」「謝罪」の流れ。スケジュール変更 (リスケ) は必須ではないが好印象

【解説】
「予約内容」「氏名」「キャンセル理由」「謝罪」のすべてが入っている
・I’m afraid は 「申し訳ないのですが」「残念ですが」、相手にとって好ましくない内容を伝えるときの枕ことば
