☆Grammar and Vocabulary
could have +過去分詞
I could have been hurt by that thing!
could have + 過去分詞は「～した (可能性があった) かもしれない」ということ
「助動詞 + 現在完了形 (have+過去分詞)」は、以前起こったことに関して述べる形
そして could は can の控えめ表現 (可能性があるかもしれないなぁ)
これにより、
could have +過去分詞は「～したかもしれないなぁ」
と、実際には起こらなかった過去の事柄についての可能性を表す表現となる
then のイメージ
Then that means…you saved me?
then は「そのとき・それから・それなら」とさまざまな日本語訳に対応するが、イメージは単純で「視線を移す」
過去や未来の時点に視線を移せば「そのとき」
ある出来事から次の出来事に視線を移せば「それから」
そしてこの文のように、ある出来事からその帰結に視線を移せば「それなら」となる

この例は under が、ある状態の「下」にあり、完成には至っていないことを表しており「工事中」ということ
道路工事の看板でも見かける表現

前置詞の後ろは対象物。under his hat が「場所」としてとらえられているにすぎません。
