☆Grammar and Vocabulary
It’s hard to tell on this spaceship.
tell の「わかる」
tell は「メッセージを伝える」というイメージの動詞。この動詞には、「わかる・判断できる」という使い方がある
なぜなら、「言うことができる → わかる」に意味が広がっているため
It’s hard to tell good wine from bad wine.
といった使い方もできる
「わかる」と「起点から離れる」イメージを持つ from のコンビネーションで「区別する」となる
It looks like Earth.
説明型オーバーラッピング（SVC）
この文は be動詞文と同様に「It = like Earth（それは地球のようだ）」という文
だが、be動詞とは異なり実質的な意味を持つ look が使われているため、その意味が文全体にオーバーラップし「It = like Earth [に見える]」となる

wh節も気楽に、（助）動詞の前の主語位置に置いてください
wh節は wh語で始まりながらも、疑問の意味を持たない文の部品の「wh語 + 平叙文」の形
