Lesson 42

Today’s Email

Subject: Thank you for finalizing slides

Hi Henry

Thank you for refining my presentation material.

I tend to insert too many sentences in one slide. Your idea of replacing them with pie-charts and graphs has made it visibly easier to follow and more professional in appearance.

I’ve also noticed that the color and layout have been adjusted for the history session. Now, the Iroha part looks consistent with the Romano part. Thanks!

See you at Chennai Airport!

Henry’s Reply

Hi Kana

No problem. It’s our presentation material after all.

My former boss used to say: “Keep words to a minimum! Stick to monotone!”
That’s just what I did to your slides. I think your content was fine.

Regarding our meet up at Chennai airport, what shall we do if one of our flights has a big delay?

Regards
Henry

Your Turn

Hi Henry

There must be a cafe or something at the terminal.

The difference in arrival time is just 10 minutes, so hopefully it’ll work out fine.

Have a nice flight!

Your Turn

Hi Henry

Let’s say, if the delay is within 90 minutes, we’ll wait for each other.

How about ~?

Let’s say around 11.

If the delay exceeds 90 minutes, let’s go separately. How does that sound?

There must be a cafe or something at the terminal.

The difference in arrival time is just 10 minutes, so hopefully it’ll work out fine.

Have a nice flight!
