**obviously: 明らかに、一目でわかる
※本来文頭に置かれる要素だが、付け足しとして用いられています
・were had は「だまされた」。相手の手のうち（周り）に置かれているところから、この意味となる。
②あなたがどんな気持ちかは分かるわ。一杯飲みに行って、それについては全部忘れましょうよ。
I know how you feel. Let’s go have a drink and forget all about it.
・how you feel は疑問文ではない。疑問形を伴わない、文の一部として使われる wh節。「あなたがどのように感じている（のか）」ということ。
・have a drink は「一杯やる」。それに go が付け加えられている。
**fake Picasso: ピカソの（作品の）偽物
2⃣「仕事を辞める」と言い出した同僚。どうも些細な原因らしく、あなたは彼女を説得します。

①あなたの決定に口を出す権利はないけれど、今すぐ仕事を辞めるのはあまりにリスキーではありませんか？
I don’t have any say in your decision, but isn’t it too risky to quit your job right now?
・have a say は「発言権がある」。ここでは not ~ any を使い「いかなる発言権もない」となっている。
・but 以降は it ~ to…（…するのは～）の形。
・too risky は「リスクが高すぎる」、否定疑問文を使って相手の同意を求めている。
**decision: 決定
**risky: 危険な、冒険的な
**quit: 辞める
**right now: 今すぐ
②まず、あなたの上司に会いに行って、解決策を探ってみればいいのではないでしょうか？
Why don’t you go see your boss first and try to find a solution?
・Why don’t you~? は軽い提案を行う形。
・go see は go and see（会いに行く）ということ。
・try to~ は「～するように試みる、～するように努力する」
**solution: 解決策

Have you ever bought a fake?
R: Well, I’ve never bought a fake.
But, I do love those TV shows where the person brings their antique piece to the show, and they tell the person if it’s a real antique or not.
C: Yeah, actually there was a show in England which was really popular, called the Antique’s Road Show.
And I remember, people would arrive and say,
“Ha! they have a twinkling in their eye.”
And they think they’re gonna become millionaires.
And the guy says,
“This is worthless. Five pounds at most.”
Deflated!
