However, and this might sound a bit obvious, but have you thought about the carbon dioxide produced by power plants?

・might は may の過去形だが、ここでは過去を示しているのではなく「ひょっとすると~かもしれない」という「控えめ」な表現。

**however: しかしながら、けれども
**obvious: 明白な、言わずもがなの
**power plant: 発電所
