No need to apologize. You didn’t sound pushy at all.
Thank you for thinking about our American suppliers; it means a lot. To be honest, not every procurement has to be divided “fairly” between our existing suppliers. They have other projects we give them, and they’re not out of work, so there’s no need to worry.
In any case, I think their approach will be strictly business. Let’s discuss again, probably tomorrow, after I hear their views.
