Hi Henry
I talked about the transfer with my boss back in Tokyo. He simply said that he’d be happy if I’m OK with the transfer. It seems that Dallas was also one of the candidates.
To be honest, I want to work in Dallas. But that said, I’m also keen to see firsthand how our project in Chennai would develop, so I’ve decided to take on the challenge.
How about you, Henry? Is Tokyo your final answer?

So, you finally accepted. It’s great for both you and the company.
I already applied for a working visa yesterday. Of course, I wouldn’t say I’m not worried about life in Japan. But I look forward to learning more about the Japanese auto industry and learning how to drive the narrow roads in a car made in Chennai. And the thought of being able to watch Formula 1 at Suzuka is like a dream come true.
I’m not surprised that Dallas was also a candidate – you’re perfectly suited. But you can save that for the future until I return home from Tokyo!
Looking back, I was always overwhelmed by your passion, as well as your logical approach to things. It’s been an exciting experience working with you.

I just heard from HR that you’re scheduled to be assigned here in two months. I have a couple of issues to resolve before my posting to Chennai, so it looks like we’ll see each other in Tokyo for about a month.
